The Government of Yukon is providing funding to ElderActive Recreation Association to support their participation in the 55+ BC Games in Kamloops, September 8 to 12, 2026.
This investment supports planning and coordination, including staffing, public engagement, team headquarters, administrative costs and mission staff support.
This summer's 55+ BC Games will provide opportunities for Yukoners to compete in one of 24 different sport competitions and offers three demonstration events.
Our government is committed to encouraging Yukoners of all ages to participate in sports. We are proud to support our Team Yukon athletes attending the 55+ BC Games as they prepare to represent the territory in Kamloops.
Our Team Yukon athletes are incredibly grateful for this support. The funding removes barriers and gives seniors from communities across the Yukon the opportunity to focus on what matters most – staying active, healthy, and engaged!
